The Plan
Love Ranch — From Survival to Sanctuary, Building in Public
This didn’t start as a brand.
It started as a breakdown.
What you’re looking at is the evolution of that original plan—built in public, one step at a time.
The Original Blueprint (2023)
“Steps to Freedom”
- Leave Vegas & the rental house
- Storage unit
- Buy an RV and learn to live simply.
- Find land (Pahrump was the original target).
- Figure out utilities—or go off-grid.
- Make money using the skills, experiences, and content I already had.
- Launch merchandise.
- Write the business plan.
- Write the memoirs.
That was it.
Raw. Practical.
No vision board.
Just: get free, get stable, don’t collapse.
What Actually Happened
I didn’t execute a clean plan.
I left Las Vegas. I put everything into storage. I stepped into RV life—not as a lifestyle choice, but as a bridge. A bridge out of survival mode and toward something quieter. Something that felt like mine.
This began as survival.
Today it’s becoming something much bigger.
Along the way I became the caretaker of a ghost town. I lived deep in the desert. I learned things about myself I couldn’t have learned any other way. Those RV years were difficult, beautiful, lonely, and transformative.
One thing I’ve learned is that awakening isn’t a finish line.
You don’t suddenly arrive somewhere safe.
You simply keep becoming.
I’m still becoming.
Where I Am Today
I’m going to be honest with you, because that’s the whole point of building this in public.
I’m still rebuilding.
I currently live in an RV park, and I’ve realized how deeply I need solitude to do my best work. Living somewhere I’m almost never truly alone has been more challenging than I expected.
And yet…
I’m still building.
I’ve migrated my entire store from Shopify to WooCommerce.
I’m creating content across seven YouTube channels.
My shop continues to grow with heart-shaped rocks, meaningful gifts, artwork, handwritten letters, and creations that help fund this mission.
Kate isn’t hidden or archived—she’s integrated.
The presence, empathy, and human connection that defined that chapter of my life didn’t disappear. They’ve evolved into something more aligned with who I am today, and they now live through Talk with Courtney and the work I’m building.
50 Letters to Love is complete except for the opening and closing chapters.
I made a promise to myself that I would finish those chapters only after I had truly lived the message. That’s why I’m completing my 50 Projects first—because becoming the person who can honestly write the ending is part of the story itself.
What I'm Building Today
Today I’m building the foundation for something much larger.
- A growing network of YouTube channels documenting the journey.
- An independent online store built on platforms I own.
- Books, courses, and educational resources.
- A community for people navigating profound life transitions.
- One-on-one conversations through Talk with Courtney.
- The future home that brings everything together: Love Ranch.
The Vision: Love Ranch
Love Ranch isn’t a retreat.
It isn’t a wellness brand.
It’s a place to reset.
A place for people navigating profound life transitions—spiritual awakenings, trauma recovery, identity shifts, dark nights of the soul, or simply the feeling that the old life no longer fits.
No pressure.
No performance.
No explanation required.
Most importantly, Love Ranch doesn’t have to appear all at once.
It can grow the same way I’m growing—one intentional step at a time.
Phase One may simply be finding a piece of land and building a home where I can continue creating, filming, writing, collecting rocks, and living close to nature.
Then maybe a couple of RV sites.
Then a tiny cabin.
Then a creative studio.
Then additional spaces where others can stay.
I’m not attached to exactly how it happens.
I’m committed to making it real.
What it may eventually include
- A home in the desert
- RV sites and simple accommodations
- Tiny cabins and creative spaces
- Quiet areas for real decompression
- Heart rock installations and natural desert art
- Miles of open desert to wander
- Places to read, write, create, and reconnect with yourself
- Space for authentic conversation, without expectation or performance
Love Ranch isn’t just a destination.
It’s the physical expression of everything I’m building.
I think there’s one phrase in there that’s especially powerful:
It can grow the same way I’m growing—one intentional step at a time.
The Roadmap
Phase 1: Escape & Simplify → Complete Phase 2: Create, Document, Build Systems → Active — and harder than it looks Phase 3: Land + Infrastructure → Next move Phase 4: Love Ranch → Inevitable
What Success Looks Like
How You Fit Into This
If you’re here, you’re already part of it.
- Buy something from the store → heart rocks, Love Rocks, chaparral, wearables
- Book a Talk session → real conversation, real presence
- Become a sponsor → targeted support for specific needs
- Share the story → the right people find us through you
This started as survival. It’s still survival. But it’s also structure, story, and something that’s never existed before.
I’m building it honestly. In public. With nothing hidden.
— Courtney
