Every Wishing Stone is personally collected by me during my desert adventures. I only collect stones with a complete natural band that wraps all the way around them—a characteristic many traditions associate with wishing stones. Each stone is naturally formed, one of a kind, and approximately 2–3 inches in size. No two are ever alike, just as no two dreams are ever the same.

The Story Behind Wishing Stones

For generations, wishing stones have been treasured as symbols of hope, intention, and possibility.

Many are recognized by a single natural band of quartz or calcite that wraps around the stone, though people have cherished all kinds of special stones throughout history. In Celtic and Irish folklore, these stones were often called blessing stones and were believed to help people focus their hopes, dreams, and intentions.

One tradition suggests holding the stone, tracing the natural line with your finger while making a wish, then carrying it as a reminder of your intention. Others believe the stone should eventually be returned to nature, or passed on to someone else when its purpose has been fulfilled.

One of my favorite traditions says that the most meaningful wishes are the ones we make for someone else.
